Cellular Health & Cancer
There is hope in healing
Cancer is a disease caused by an uncontrolled growth of abnormal cells in the body. These cells can form tumors or invade nearby tissues and organs. Cancer cells do not follow the normal cycle of cell division and death. They are caused by mutations on genes that regulate cell growth. They can form solid tumors or spread through the blood or lymph to other parts of the body. Cancer cells are classified into different types based on their origin. Cancer is the most severe form of cellular sickness.
Internal and external toxins have been found to cause cancer in humans. A person’s risk of developing cancer depends on many factors including how much, how long, how often, and they are exposed to the chemicals, their individual detoxification capability, methylation and nutritional status, and genetic predisposition/SNP's or mutated genes. Cancer risk is also associated certain lifestyle behaviors such as smoking and age.
What is methyation? Methylation is a chemical modification of DNA and other molecules that may be retained as cells divide to make more cells. When found in DNA, methylation can alter gene expression.
Hence, cancer is not a simple story. Some types of cancer are associated with exposure to toxins such as asbestos, benzene, formaldehyde, and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs). Frankly, there are too many toxins that can cause cancer in our world today. For example, tobacco smoke contains at least 69 chemicals that can cause cancer. Other examples include viruses such as human papillomavirus (HPV), hepatitis B or C, and aflatoxins (mold/mycotoxins) to name a few. This is why we focus on cellular restorating as our first step in the healing process.
We understand the impact of cancer can be devastating both financially and emotionally. It can affect not only the person with cancer but also their family and friends. Cancer can cause physical symptoms such as pain, fatigue, and nausea as well as emotional symptoms such as anxiety and depression. Cancer pain can have a substantial negative effect on mood, resulting in anxiety, feeling overwhelmed, angry, fearful, and worried. It's a difficult time and we are here to help you build strength and confidence as your move through the healing process.
